Know about diamond plates

A type of lightweight metal material, the diamond plate is used on stairs, walkways, dance floor, as well as for storage containers, mud guards and more. Also called a checkered plaque, it features an embossed diamond pattern, hence the popular name. Steel and aluminum are the two most common metals used in the manufacture of this plate, since they are durable, malleable and have a non-slip texture. However, compared to steel diamond plate, aluminum ones are much lighter and do not rust easily.

Truck tool boxes are also made of diamond plate. These boxes are used to store tools and equipment without taking up space in the vehicle and come in various shapes and sizes. The new toolboxes look shiny, but lose their shine over time. The plate surface should be cleaned from time to time to maintain quality and also to restore original shine. Since the raised pattern of the diamond plate is quite attractive to dust and grime, regular and proper cleaning should be done otherwise, a thick layer of dirt will deposit on the FRP Wall Panels.

Twice in a week, one should dust off the surface of the diamond plate toolboxes with a rag. This will allow the loose dust particles to come off. However, if the dust particles have been allowed to build up for a long time, the dust will not help, and detergent mixed in warm water should be used to clean the surface. One can soak the sponge in the warm water containing detergent to scrub the surface with full force. It is important to note that only mild quality detergent should be used. The surface can be dried with a highly absorbent towel. Rust remover can also be applied. Enamel can be applied to keep the toolbox looking like new and shiny. However, depending on the type of metal used, the enamel must be purchased.
